The Penguin Running Camps will be workshops attended by 3 dozen of your closest friends, all Penguins in spirit, in pleasant surroundings, with lots of good food, a low-key morning race, and the chance to talk about running and other fitness issues to your heart's content with folks who have the same enthusiasm and concerns as you. |
The average day will start with breakfast, move into the classroom, have group runs (groups sorted by pace), lunch, study hall, dinner, and end up with more time to hang out with your buddies, John [the Penguin ] Bingham and world class coaches. |
The plans for the 1999 camps are still being finalized. There will be an Atlanta date in Early April, a Boston date in Early June, a Santa Cruz date in August, and a St. Louis date in early October. For more information contact: Sue Flaster |
The cost of the three day camps is $375, all inclusive, double occupancy. The four day camps are $425 Single occupancy is on a space available basis only. The supplement for a single room is $125. All participants will receive a Penguin Brigade Logbook and a "I had the Courage" t-shirt. |
